Milan Fashion Week Spring 2012: Moschino

Moschino used the traditional Spanish culture as inspiration for their spring collection. Bullfighting outfits with elaborate embellishments topped off with the "Montera" headpiece made an appearance. Some of the pieces had a flamingo dancer vibe to them. It was evident that Frida Kahlo was a source of inspiration as well. Braided updos and extravagant headpieces paid tribute to her. Anna Della Russo styled the show really well with giant dangling earrings and traditional accessories. I really loved this collection, as it's more unique than any of the collections this season that mostly took inspiration from the 50's and 60's. While it translated the Spanish culture very well, the collection was still chic and beautiful and they made sure it didn't feel too costumey.
