Van Cleef and Arpels: ' A Quest for Beauty' Event

Last Saturday Van Cleef and Arpels held a private curated event of their newest exhibit which featured over 200 never before seen intricate jewels from their private collection. A lucky few attended the event, dressed to impress.

Ahh Krystan Ritter what can I say I'm speechless, in a good way of course. The actress looked absolutely divine in my favorite outfit from Katie Ermilio's spring 2014 collection. I have a soft spot for cropped tops and long or knee-length skirts. She styled her look with a Van Cleef and Arpels cuff and a high ponytail.

Natalie Portman Thor: The Dark World Promo Tour Style

In my opinion Natalie Portman is the best celebrity brand ambassador out there, she truly conveys the essence of the Dior woman which is elegant and poised. She blew us away on her European promo tour for her new movie Thor: Dark World in a bevy of stunning  Christian Dior looks.

  London Premiere:

For the London Premiere Natalie opted for a voluminous skirt from the ready-to-wear spring 2014 collection. I love how she opted for a long sleeved shirt, regardless of the weather I think even if it was warmer it would have been the better choice, rather than the runways strapless top.

Autumn/Winter 2013-14 Staples: The Coat

The weather is  amazing here in Saudi, and it has me dreaming of a more weather appropriate wardrobe. Outerwear is one of the most essential pieces for any wardrobe during the colder months, and while browsing Net-A-Porter I've found an amazing selection.

Girly and sweet:

   Red Valentino

    Moschino

PFW Spring/Summer 2014 Street Style

I'm obsessed with street style fashion, it's very eclectic and super chic. It serves as inspiration for my everyday wardrobe. And during fashion month, some of the most well-renowned fashion personalities bring their A game, with over the top wardrobes that make you green with envy.

Here are my top picks from Paris fashion week:

                                     Yasmin Sewell

                                     Carven dress.

Editor-In-Chief of Vogue Japan Anna Dello Russo in Valentino (Left) and stylist Giovanna Battaglia in Lanvin (Right)

Designer Vika Gazinskaya in her own design

I'm obsessed with feathers and this skirt is on my wishlist !

Love the quirky element of the coat's print

MFW Spring/Summer 2014: Dolce & Gabbana

We can always count on Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to bring the drama and glamour to Milan fashion week. Their spring 2014 collection was by far one of their best. Their inspiration for this collection was Sicily of course, but the difference was that it was also influenced by the Sicilians' interaction with the Greeks. It was far from a boring, conventional collection, From soft floral appliques, to belts shaped as coins, and heels shaped as the Roman columns, this collection was an absolute dream.  It was magnificent in every sense of the word, it transported you to this time in history in true Dolce & Gabbana fashion. They keep on outdoing themselves, every single time. I don't know how they do it, they are true masters of their craft.

MFW spring/Summer 2014: Tod's

Ready to wear hasn't been a major focus for Tod's. Their reputation is based upon their impeccable leather goods (Shoes, Bags etc.) But for spring 2014 with the appointment of Alessandra Facchinetti as the new creative director( who previously worked at Valentino and Gucci), the brand set out to establish themselves in the womenswear market. Every piece that strutted down that runway was absolutely stunning, the workmanship was impeccable. The clothes evoked a sense of easy , luxurious Italian dressing. I can see these outfits roaming the streets of Capri and Monaco. Bellissima.

LFW Spring /Summer 2014: Peter Pilotto

With the announcement of their collaboration with target coming in 2014, the fashion pack was excited to see what the designers would be inspired by for the more affordable collection. Christopher De Vos  and Peter Pilotto did not disappoint. Their manipulation of fabrics and silhouettes was out in full force. They truly are one of a kind, they continuously experiment and test new waters and come up with the most unique concepts and combinations. My favorite aspect of this collection was the structural design of the skirts, when combined with the colors and patterns of the fabrics resulted in beautifully eye-catching pieces.

LFW Spring/Summer 2014: Erdem

Erdem Moralioğlu adopted a different vision for his Spring outing. This was a more somber collection, than the ones we're used to seeing from the designer. The usually vibrant palettes and patterns, were replaced by a black and white color scheme. On the other hand, the floral embroidery that has become his signature makes an appearance on quite a few pieces in this collection, from a bomber jacket to a floor-length gown. In my opinion it is one of his best collections, I absolutely adored the feather accented pieces, my closet is in desperate need for such pieces.

NYFW Spring Summer 2014: Monique Lhuillier

Monique Lhuillier has proven herself as a strong force amongst the most skilled and experienced designers in evening wear. Her gowns are sought after by every well dressed celebrity and socialite, but that's not her only strong suit. This season she has made it a point to prove that her skills in daywear are as strong as evening wear. This season I fell in love with her incorporation of bold hues to gowns, aswell as the bandeau top trend , which was simple yet so striking I couldn't take my eyes off it. Every item from this collection is on my wish list, and other fashionable ladies I'm sure.

NYFW Spring Summer 2014: Prabal Gurung

Prabal Gurung revisited his past collections for spring 2014. It was a very smart move, because it acted as proof of his evolution and his growth. He is proving to be a strong force in this industry, by continuously changing and coming up with creative concepts. He just keeps on getting better, and I for one cannot wait to see what he comes up with next season.

NYFW Spring Summer 2014: Delpozo

Jesus Del Pozo the founder of Delpozo has always stood out as a designer, by creating pieces that were full of personality and exuded  style and elegance. After his death in 2011 , Josep Font was named as creative director. The designer continues to carry on the legacy of the brand's founder by creating pieces that are dreamlike in their elegance, and whimsical in their appearance. In short these pieces are exquisite, and every woman's dream pieces. Bravo ! Another amazingly beautiful collection.

NYFW Spring Summer 2014: Misha Nonoo

For spring summer 2014 Misha Nonoo was inspired by watercolor paintings, that inspiration led to the creation of fresh, and whimsical pieces, fit for any summer event.

NYFW Spring Summer 2014: Suno

One of my favorite brands reminds me why I fell in love with their designs from the first moment I laid eyes on them. The use of unique and exquisite fabrics add a touch of luxury to otherwise simple and effortless silhouettes.
